Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent has been secured for a new 10,000 sq.m School of Architecture and the Built Environment on the former Springfield Brewery Site in Wolverhampton for the University of Wolverhampton.
The 12 acre site contains a former Grade II listed Victorian brewery that has suffered years of neglect and abortive attempts at redevelopment. The University acquired the site in 2014 and is transforming it into a Centre of Excellence for the Built Environment, the centre piece of which is the proposed new School of Architecture. The scheme was designed by Associated Architects.
